PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a feeding type insect pest-controlling composition that can manifest the satisfactory controlling effect because, it is crucial that how efficiently a poison bait can be ingested by the feeding type insect pests, and how efficiently the active ingredients of the controlling agent can reveal their controlling effects, when controlling the insect pests by the poison-bait method, but the conventional controlling agents have the defects that they are highly volatile and highly soluble in water and they cannot continue their effect for a long period of time and that it is difficult to allow the insect pests to ingest the poison bait in sufficiently effective amounts because the poison baits have some odor to repel the insect pests.;SOLUTION: The active ingredients of the insect pest-controlling agent are combined with an acid-soluble polymer to form capsules or prepare an active component for the controlling agent modified with the polymer. Thus, the repellency of the active ingredients themselves is deleted and the perfect ingestion of the active ingredients can be achieved and the film layer (of the capsule) is dissolved in the insect bodies, this the active ingredients can efficiently function in the bodies of the insect pests.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
