Integrated fast neutron reactor with removable internal structural elements

An integrated fast neutron nuclear reactor comprises a main reactor vessel (1) enclosing the core (11) immersed in liq. metal coolant, at least 1 primary pump (5) to circulate the coolant, and an intermediate heat exchanger (6) immersed in the coolant liq.. The internal structures mounted inside vessel (1) are made up of large metal units including units (12,13) to support the core (11). At least one internal vessel (16) defines, inside the main vessel (1), a zone (19a) receiving hot liq. metal leaving the core and a zone (19b) receiving cooled liq. metal leaving the intermediate heat exchanger (6). A shell (22) channels the flow of liq. metal coolant to contact the internal wall of the main vessel (1). Each of these internal structural units (12,13,15,16,22) incorporates means for their support and fixture to corresponding means on the inside of the main vessel (1).
