PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonoriented silicon steel sheet having excellent magnetic flux density and iron loss superior to the magnetic properties obtained by the conventional technology.;SOLUTION: The steel sheet has a composition which contains, by mass, 1.5-8.0% Si and 0.005-2.50% Mn and in which the contents of C, S, N, O and B are controlled to ≤50 ppm, respectively. Moreover, the average value Γ, within a rolling plane, determined by the following equation from the orientation of respective crystal grains of the steel sheet is ≤0.200: Γ=u2v2+v2w2+w2u2 (wherein, u, v and w mean u, v, w where the indication of Miller indices is formed into unit vector, with respect to an arbitrary direction ranging from a rolling direction of the respective crystal grains to a direction perpendicular to the rolling direction).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
