PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize easy and reliable temporary stopping of a component member regardless of some dimensional error between the inside diameter of a fixing hole and the outside diameter of a tubular member by a structure wherein the tubular member is pressed and fixed by means of a plurality of protrusions formed on the inside of the fixing hole by pressing the periphery at an interval from above and below. SOLUTION: The tubular casing 11 of an EGR cooler is provided, in the circumferential wall thereof, with a fixing hole 13 for fixing a tubular member 12, e.g. a pipe boss, temporarily. At first, lower end part of the tubular member 12 is inserted into the fixing hole 13. After a receiving metal is set on the rear side, recesses 14 are formed in the circumference of the fixing hole 13 by applying pressure at a specified interval from the surface side by means of a punch thus forming a plurality of inward protrusions 15 through shift of the recesses 14 in the central direction. The protrusions 15 press the circumferential wall face of the tubular member 12 strongly in the central direction thus stopping the tubular member 12 temporarily.
