PURPOSE: To give reliable weather information to a demander by suitably predicting a weather state of a district to be predicted. ;CONSTITUTION: The rainfall predicting apparatus comprises a meteorological sensor group 1 for collecting meteorological data, data input means 2 for fetching outputs of the group to output suitable data, converting means 3 for converting the output data into meteorological data by engineering, a meteorological data base 5 for storing meteorological data after filtering the converted data, tendency extracting means 6 for grasping a tendency from stored present and past meteorological data to predict meteorological data at a predicting time in future, a district data base 9 for storing peculiar meteorological data for the district to be predicted, a data base 8 for storing information of a function of conviction rate formed from past meteorological data, and prediction deciding means 7 for obtaining conviction rate of rainfall by using the district meteorological data, the information of the function of the rate for the meteorological data of the extracting means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
