PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new monoclonal antibody reacting with iridovirus infecting on sea bass order and globefish order and not reacting with iridovirus infecting on eel and frog, useful for rapid diagnosis of fish iridovirus infection disease. ;SOLUTION: This is a new monoclonal antibody, reactive with iridovirus infecting on sea bass order and globefish order and inactive with iridovirus infecting on eel and frog, usable as a rapid diagnosis of fish iridovirus infection disease. This antibody is useful for detecting fish iridovirus infection disease rapidly and with high accuracy. This monoclonal antibody is prepared by multiplication of iridovirus sampled from red sea bream of sea bass order, pelletizing after cenrifugal separation, suspending in phosphoric acid buffer solution, immunized by feeding to Balb/c mouse mixing with adjuvant, fusing the splenic cells sampled from the mouse with myeloma cells, selecting the antibody producing species after selective culturing and culturing the monoclonal species by cloning.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
