PURPOSE: To form many agar cartridges in a short period of time without applying a high pressure on an agar injector by fixing this agar injector to a fixing block of a small-sized vice, setting the cartridge to the needle tip of the injector and rotating the rotating lever of the vice. ;CONSTITUTION: The fixing block 1 of the agar injector 5 is formed of ordinary gypsum (plaster of Paris) for dental purposes in the commercially marketed small-sized vice and the agar injector 5 packed with a reversible agar-agar impression material immersed for 10 minutes at boiling water of 100°C up to the position of a specific scale is fixed thereto. The used 1.8-ml cartridge for local anesthesia is then mounted to the needle tip 6 of the agar injector 5. The agar is injected into the cartridge by slowly rotating the rotating lever 2 of the small-sized vice and spending about 30 seconds. The agar fails in some cases to be injected any more into the cartridge in spite of rotating of the rotating lever 2 because the part 6 of the needle of the injector cools immediately and, therefore, the cartridge is immersed for about 20 seconds into the boiling water in a pot in each of such occasions and thereafter the cartridge is mounted again to the injector and is injected with the agar.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
