PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make realizable to automatically restore a failure occurring to a client by constructing a temporary system with managed system alteration information when a failure occurs, trying to restore the system according to it, and informing a server device that the system can not be restored if restoration cannot be made. SOLUTION: Once a failure detecting means 15 detects the failure code of an occurring failure, a restoring means 15 performs retrieval from a 1st database means 10 by using the failure code and current system information as retrieval keys. Then system alteration information for recovering the failure is obtained, a temporary system is structured with the information, and the restoration of the system is tried according to the temporary system to automatically restore the system. If the system can not be restored through the processing of this restoring means 15, a notifying means 16 informs the server device 2 of the code of the failure disabling the restoration of the system and the system information at the time of the failure. Consequently, failure restoration information can be made sustantial.
