PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and quickly measuring a percentage of water absorption and the surface moisture ratio of aggregate contained in concrete. ;SOLUTION: From the aggregate 1a in a wet condition, surface moisture 2 is removed and the surface is turned into a dried condition. Subsequently, the weight of a dried aggregate 1b is measured, then the aggregate 1b is heated with a high frequency into an absolutely dried condition, and the weight of an absolutely dried aggregate 1c is measured. The difference in weight between the aggregate 1b before heating and the aggregate 1c after heating is the total of water content 3 which is contained inside the aggregate 1b. Accordingly, the percentage of water absorption can be calculated, when the weight difference between the aggregate before heating and that after heating is divided by the weight of the aggregate 1c.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
