PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stainless steel excellent in cold workability, in which the dispersion of cold workability caused by the dispersion of the austenite grain size is solved, and grain coarsening is stably allowed to occur at the time of melting treatment, in a stainless steel for cold working requiring the coarsening of crystal grains in a heat treating stage after working.;SOLUTION: In this austenitic stainless steel excellent in grain coarsening characteristics at the time of heat treatment and cold workability, the concentration of Si in the average composition of nonmetallic oxide of 0.5 to 2 μm is ≤10%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
