INFORMATION NETWORK SYSTEM FOR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and smoothly transfer information mutually among students, teachers and clerical staffs and to reduce the time, labor and cost of a clerical processing. ;SOLUTION: An on-campus LAN is constructed by a system 110 for administration provided with a server 111 for the administration and terminals 114 for processing the whole clerical work on the campus, the system 120 for the teachers provided with the terminals 122 to be used by the teachers, a homepage/mail system 140 provided with a WWW server 143 for managing the homepage of the educational institution and a mail server 144 for managing electronic mail and the system 130 for classrooms. The student or the like off the campus transfers the information with the homepage by accessing the homepage/mail system 141 from a portable communication terminal 300 through a communication channel 200 by the Internet and transmits and receives the electronic mail with the system 110 for the administration or the system 120 for the teachers.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
