PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce dioxin and related compounds in fly ash and exhaust gas, and raise a rate of conversion of ash into slag.;SOLUTION: A melting furnace 30 and an exclusive cooling column 52 are connected to each other through a melting-furnace exhaust gas conduit 30a, the exhaust gas is introduced from the furnace 30 into the column 52. While lime is being added to the cooled exhaust gas, the gas is introduced to a third bag-filter 56 to remove acid gas components in the gas, dust which has been trapped in a first bag-filter 21, having a low chloride concentration, and dust which has been trapped in a temperature reduction column 22, having a low chloride concentration are recycled to a melt furnace 30 to melt the dust.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
