PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the reduction of the load of an MPU side or the simplification of software by maintaining storage data without any error even when any bit wash is not operated by an MPU. SOLUTION: A sequencer 17 increments sequentially an address generated in an address counter 13, and executes a big wash sequence while the address counter 13 generates one address. In the bit wash sequence, the real data of a dual port memory 11 are error-corrected by an error detecting and correcting circuit 15, and temporarily stored in a data access register 16, and a new check bit is generated in the error detecting and correcting circuit 15, and both the error-corrected data and the check bit are rewritten in the dual port memory 11. Also, all the processing is executed by a hardware circuit without the interference of software processing.
