PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tea extract liquid containing manganese at a high concentration and good in flavor, to provide a method for producing the tea extract and to produce a highly manganese-containing tea extract. ;SOLUTION: This method for producing the manganese-containing tea extract liquid is characterized by comprising a step of extracting a tea plant with 0.05-1.0 wt.% of an aqueous solution of an organic acid or a mineral acid. The method for producing the manganese-containing tea extract is characterized by drying and then pulverizing the extract liquid.
