PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin film-coated steel panel for a large- sized square can generating no shrinkage in a resin layer at the time of baking of an outer surface coating film, preventing the damage of the resin layer even if the hand ring attaching washer of a top lid is electrically welded to dispense with the coating of the resin layer with a correcting coating film and enabling the integral molding processing of the opening part of the top lid. ;SOLUTION: A multilayered resin film consisting of a polyester elastomer layer and a blend resin layer consisting of a polyester elastomer and a polyester resin is applied to a steel panel to which weldable surface treatment is applied to form the thermoplastic resin film-coated steel panel. A body member is cut out of this coated steel panel to be rolled and the rolled body member is welded at the seam part thereof and subsequently molded into a square shape to obtain a can body member and a top lid and a bottom lid are molded from the same thermoplastic resin film coated steel panel and seamed to the can body part to obtain the large-sized square can.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
