PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To respond to a high request for a print quality and to simply measure by calculating a volume of an engraving cell based on image data obtained by imaging the cell engraving condition data when the cell is formed.;SOLUTION: A cell measuring apparatus 4 comprises A processor 8 and a memory 9. A digital signal of an optical image of an engraving cell from an imaging means 5 is output to the apparatus 4 and stored as image data 14 in the memory 9 by an image input means 10 of the processor 8. The means 10 displays in image input screen on a display of an output unit 7. An input unit 6 is operated to display an input screen of engraving conditions on the display of the unit 7 by an engraving condition input means 11. The means 11 generates engraving condition data 15 based on the input engraving conditions, and stores the data in the memory 9. A shape parameter (volume) of the cell is calculated based on the data 14 and the data 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
