PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a molded cassette type plant-culturing material which has a function for enabling a plant to grow in a concrete block structure constructed on a slope having a steep gradient and which can be carried and fit, and to provide a method for practically culturing the plant in the structure. SOLUTION: This method for producing a planting cassette capable of being fit into a concrete block on a slope comprises cutting and molding a rock wool compressed plate in response to the inside shape of a concrete block or adhering and molding a lightweight culturing base material, forming plural dents leaving about 5 mm upper portions, respectively, on the upper surface of the manufactured molded base, and then charging seeds, culturing materials, and so on into the dents. The method for using the planting cassette comprises fitting the planting cassette manufactured by connecting the rock wool compressed plate and containing the seeds, the culturing materials, and so on, into the concrete block, spraying a water whose surface tension is reduced with a surfactant, on the planting cassette, thus sufficiently and quickly permeating the inner materials of the cassette with water, and then germinating and growing the contained seeds.
