PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely prevent leakage from the periphery of a high-tension cable, when the high-tension cable is arranged so as to penetrate an underground wall or a slab floor. ;SOLUTION: A waterproofing structure which is formed by combining waterproof panels 1 with bentonite powder 3, is for use in an introduction hole which is provided, in order to directly draw a high-tension cable from underground to a basement. Each waterproof panel 1 is constructed, by fixing insertion sleeves 2 to a box body 4 which is obtained by fixing a cylinder portion 4b onto one surface of installing plates 4a, and then covering retaining nuts 7 to the respective sleeves. The waterproof panel 1 is fixed to each of opening surfaces of the introduction hole H, and the high-tension cable W is inserted into each insertion sleeve, followed by clamping of the retaining nut 7. Then, a sealing member 8 in the sleeve is compressed, whereby the interior of the panels is sealed hermetically with respect to the exterior of the same. If the bentonite powder 3 is filled in a space defined by the panels, the space is completely prevented from leakage, due to the swelling of the bentonite powder, even if underground water infiltrate into the space. Leakage from the periphery of the cylinder portion 4 can be prevented by a bentonite sheet 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
