PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small positioning actuator capable of preventing berry shatter even when a piezoelectric material is used and simplifying assembly work without preventing the operation of an actuator, an actuator for positioning of a thin film head magnetic element, and a head suspension assembly provided with the actuator. ;SOLUTION: This actuator is stuck between an object such as a magnetic head slider having at least one thin film magnetic head element and a support mechanism, is used for the positioning of the object and utilizes a piezoelectric phenomenon, and at least, a part of surface except the stuck part of the actuator and an electrode part is covered with a film to be coated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
