METHOD FOR PRINTING BLOCK COPY FILM AND PRINTER FOR BLOCK COPY PRINTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent joints of printing lines from being conspicuous by determining a transfer amount of a transparent resin film in accordance with a printing width and printing a predetermined width after transferring the film in the case where heating elements on a recording head are let to selectively heat thereby monochromically printing to the film. ;SOLUTION: A printer 1 for block copy printing has a transfer roller 11 set below a platen 2 for transferring a transparent resin film to between the platen 2 and a thermal head 5. When the printer 1 operates, a control part 17 determines a transfer amount of the film on the basis of a user's desired recording density to 1/N of a printing width (N is an integer not smaller than 2) which is an align width of heating elements. A predetermined printing width is printed after the film is transferred by the predetermined transfer amount. When the printing starts, a width of M=1 in M/N (M is an integer not smaller than 1 and MN) from an upper end of the predetermined printing width is repeatedly printed.
