PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reverse flow of gas refrigerant having high temperature and high pressure toward an evaporator disposed on a low pressure side, and improve an efficiency and reliability of a compressor by holding an inside of a tightly closed space for housing a compression mechanism part having a driving shaft for revolting a piston and an electric motor for rotating the driving shaft, to an intake pressure atmosphere. ;SOLUTION: A rotary compressor is composed of an electric motor part (a) which consists of a stator 1 and rotator 2, and a compression mechanism part (b) driven by the electric motor part (a), they are housed in a hermetic container 13, and is directly attached to the hermetic container 13. In this case, the inside of the enclosed container 13 is held to an intake pressure atmosphere. Accordingly, it is solved that gas coolant having a high temperature and high pressure is made flow in the reverse direction from each contact surface between a cylinder 5 of the compression mechanism part (b), and a frame and a cylinder head toward a low pressure side where an evaporator 36 is disposed, and the temperature of a cooler is prevented from raising without arranging a check valve and the like in a circuit. Simultaneously, a blade motion space of the cylinder 5 is communicated with the inside of the enclosed container 13 so as to reduce sliding loss of the blade.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
