PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a 1,2,3-benzotriazin-4(3H)-one derivative containing a sulfonyl group at the 3-position producible in a high yield.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the 1,2,3-benzotriazin-4(3H)-one derivative of general formula (III) (R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each independently any selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, OR11, SR11, COOR11, CONR11R12, SO2R11, SO2NR11 R12, COR11, a nitro group and a cyano group; R11 and R12 are each independently any selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group and an aryl group; R5 is an alkyl group or an aryl group) comprises bringing an aqueous solution containing a compound of general formula (I) and a base into contact with an organic solvent solution containing a compound of general formula (II) and reacting the compounds.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
