CONTAINER HANDLING METHOD AND CONTAINER YARD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform cargo handling between a railroad and a truck with high efficiency, while unnecessitating a container stock yard. ;SOLUTION: In a container handling method for transshipping a container 8 between a freight car 10 for loading container coupled to a main line train 9 and a truck 41 entering and leaving a container yard 30 arranged by being branched from a main line 1, the freight car 10 is separated from the main line train 9 and the main line train 9 is traveled as it is on the main line 1. The separated freight car 10 is carried to the container yard 30 and after the container 8 is transshipped between trucks 41 and 51, the freight car 10 is joined into the main line 1 and is coupled to the main line train 9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
