PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily perfomable game input operation by representing on a game screen the extents of movement of an operating character by switch inputs of a 1st stage wherein a switch operation part is slanted at a specific angle and a 2nd stage wherein the switch operation part is further slanted at a specific angle. SOLUTION: When the switch operation part 11 in its neutral state is slanted on a fulcrum O of slanting to the left at a specific angle , a left microswitch 15A1 of the 1st switch of a left microswitch 15A is turned on in the 1st stage. When the switch operation part 11 is further slanted from the 1st stage at a specific angle -, a left microswitch 15A2 as the 2nd switch is turned on. The multidirectional switch device is capable of input in four directions and allows two-stage switching operation in each direction. To give the role of an operation switch for moving an operating character on a game screen, two- stage switch input is made possible.
