MATERIAL FOR AMELIORATING OBESITY AND DIETING, AND DIET FOOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high value added merchandise derived from livestock products while protecting the global environment by collecting in an inexpensive way valuable ingredients from livestock processing waste water most of which has been dumped until now and increasing the purification degree of the collected ingredients. SOLUTION: This material for ameliorating obesity and dieting can be obtained by electrodialysis of meat processing waste water and meat essence of its concentrate in a region from acidity to neutrality to collect ingredients mainly containing L-carnitine, a histidine-related dipeptide (carnosine, anserine and balenine) and taurine all contained in profusion in meat, and then concentrating them. Food having an effect on amelioration of obesity and dieting can be obtained by including the same material. Decomposition of fats and oils is hastened and the effect on amelioration of obesity and dieting can be obtained by the action of L-carnitine, a histidine-related dipeptide and taurine contained in meat extract.
