PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an egg from bursting even in heating the egg put in a container containing water in the case of boiling the egg in a microwave oven.;SOLUTION: An egg in the state of being confined in a conductive basket is put in a nonmetal microwave-nonabsorbing container 1 containing water, to heat in a microwave oven. In this case, in order to restrain microwaves acting upon the egg put in the container 1 containing water inside the microwave oven, the whole periphery of the egg is covered with the conductive container 2 and a lid 3, and the container 2 and lid 3 are provided with any one of holes, slits and mesh so as to cover a range of 20% to 95% of the total area at an area ratio.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
