The device uses an ingot mould which is extended by a fire-proof feeder anda component, referred to as the pre-ingot mould, which is arranged directlyabove the ingot mould and is cooled by a liquid. The pre-ingot mould iscomposed of at least four elongated components, referred to as pre-plates,positioned such that their assembly defines a component of a shape insidethat of the ingot mould and wherein the inner faces are the extension of thecorresponding inner faces of the ingot mould, and it is made of an alloycontaining over 50% copper.IMAGE
