"PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR PARENTERAL ADMINISTRATION, PROCESS FOR TREATING A PATIENT SUFFERING HEMOPHILIA, AND, USE OF A COLOIDAL PARTICLE" A pharmaceutical composition for parenteral administration comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a substantially neutral protein or polypeptide and colloidal particles. The particles comprise approximately 1-20 mole percent of an amphipathic lipid derived with a biocompatible hydrophilic polymer that is substantially without effective charge. The protein or polypeptide is capable of externally binding to colloidal particles, or is capable of binding to polyethylene glycol, and is not encapsulated (o) in colloidal particles. A preferred protein is factor VIII, whose half-life is prolonged and is protected from serum inhibitory antibodies by injecting it as a component of the composition.
