Co-injection of mouse oocytes fertilized with sperm heads and exogenous nucleic acid encoding a transgene results in embryos expressing the transgene, reflecting the nucleic acid-sperm head association before co-injection. Non-selective transfer to surrogate mothers of the embryos resulting from co-injection produced offspring expressing the integrated transgene.
