VACCINES AGAINST AUJESZKY`S DISEASE AND OTHER ANIMAL DISEASES CONTAINING PSEUDORABIES VIRUS MUTANTS

The present invention relates to vaccines for the prevention and / or control of the spread of animal diseases which contain Pseudorabies virus containing gp50 glycoprotein and which carry a mutation in their gp50 gene. The vaccines according to the invention can be used against Aujeszky's disease (pseudo-rabies) or against other animal diseases if the mutation is an insertion of a heterologous gene encoding an antigen corresponding to said animal disease. The rabies virus may also contain at least one other mutation in another gene, such as gp63 or gI genes.
