The fail safeguard system (1) for a flat roof (2) comprises an elongated conducting component (8) over which a coupling (11) is displaceable which is couplable releasably on the side turned away from a connecting component (12) with a person (13) to be protected. The system is further provided with a number of adjacently located, rigidly interconnected anchors (4), which in operation are positionable on the flat roof. The conducting component is connected with the anchors.
