The installation strip (3) is for the fixture of a solar panel on a sloping roof (1) and comprises at least one flat elongated component (4) fixable in the transversal direction of the roof. An outer end of the strip component facing the roof ridge has an upstanding end surface (5). The strip component has fixture units (6,7) for the solar panel. The first fixture unit has a pin (6) extending out of the upstanding end surface for fitting in an aperture in a strip-shaped part. A second fixture unit has a clamp component (7) for securing the strip-shaped part lowermost edge in the installation strip.
