The light lens system (1) is for at least one elongated lamp unit, such as a strip light and has two end parts (2,3), between which are fitted an outer reflector (4) and a refractor (5). The reflector and refractor are clamped in cavities formed in the end parts. The outer reflector can be made of aluminum plate, which on its under side facing the lamp component is provided with a highly polished reflecting coating. The refractor can be produced by extrusion from transparent plastic. The end parts can be made from injection-moulded plastic. In the one end part (3) is an accommodation aperture (7), through which two strip lamp components (6) can be inserted. The end parts, reflector and refractor determine an accommodation space. The openings through which the accommodation space is accessible from the exterior are the accommodation aperture and longitudinal slots (14).
