The light unit (1) has a lamp (7) with a light source and an igniter, and a reflector unit. A lamp holder (9) encompassing the igniter in mounted state is provided with locking units extending in the direction of the reflector unit. The other corresponding locking units are arranged on the rear side of the reflector unit. The former locking units are engaged with the latter locking units while mounting by a rotating movement of the lamp holder around the central longitudinal axis of the reflector unit. The lamp holder is made of plastic or metal.
