The invention concerns a ship for deep water laying of rigid tubular pipes (14) comprising two vertical wheels (10) for storing a tubular pipe (14) wound under plastic deformation, a reclinable pipelaying tower (3) arranged substantially above a moon pool (2), an arc-shaped guide chute (7) for unwinding the pipe at the tower (3) top, pipe straightening means (8), and tensioners (9); the two neighbouring wheels (10) are substantially oriented towards the tower (3), their median planes (11) intersecting in the vertical median plane (XX) in the longitudinal direction of the ship.
