FLOCK APPLIQUE AND TRANSFERS AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAME

A method of making an applique by printing a releaseadhesive upon a release sheet; flocking flock thorough anopen section of a barrier into the adhesive to result in atleast two patterns arranged to form a predetermined designadhered to the release sheet; applying a binding adhesive tofree ends of the flock; transferring at least one of thepredetermined designs of flock to a substrate material; andaffixing the substrate material with said predetermineddesign of flock to an article. An applique composed ofsubstrate material adapted to be affixed to an article; andflock having end portions coated with a binder adhered in apredetermined design to the substrate material. A articlecomposed of a surface area; a substrate material affixed tothe surface area; a layer of binding adhesive on thesubstrate; and flock having end portions adhering to thelayer of binding adhesive to form a predetermined design onthe substrate material.
