A railway truck frame for a railway truck including a first side frame and asecond sideframe, each side frame having an inverted trapezoidal-shaped window includinga first inclinedside and a second inclined side. The truck frame also includes a bolsterhaving a first end anda second end which extends transversely between the first and second sideframes. Each end ofthe bolster includes a first inclined channel and an opposing second inclinedchannel. Eachchannel includes an exterior flange, a spaced apart interior flange, and abearing surface locatedbetween the exterior and the interior flanges. Each inclined side of a windowis adapted to belocated in a respective first or second channel between the exterior flangeand the interior flangeof the channel and m engagement with the bearing surface of the channel. Alocking device suchas a jack is located in each window between the top of the end of the bolsterand the top side ofthe window which selectively forces the end of the bolster downwardly intoengagement with theside frame such that the end of the bolster is rigidly but removably connectedto the side frame.
