The invention relates to arrangements and methods for testing and improving the physical condition and the technical skills of an athlete, especially a football player. The test athlete carries out independent or combined exercises selected out of sprint, jump and slalom runs on play-grounds with marked trajectories, and/or training appliances like goals, ball rebouncing walls or obstacles allowing the simulation of different tests situations. The individual performance can be evaluated based on electronically acquired data based on measurements made with electric or acoustic sensors.
