AMELIORANT OR REMEDY FOR PARANEOPLASTIC SYNDROME

A drug for curing/ameliorating the concomitant syndrome of tumor which comprises a compound represented by the following general formula (I) as the active ingredient: CHEM wherein R1 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and optionally substituted by one or more hydroxyl groups; and R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyl group; is disclosed. This drug can be efficaciously employed in the treatment for the concomitant syndrome of tumor, in particular, cachexia or in the amelioration of the symptoms thereof.
