METHOD, MOBILE STATION AND NETWORK DEVICE FOR ESTABLISHING CONNECTIONS FOR SERVICES OFFERED IN A SERVICE AREA

The invention relates to a method for establishing connections between radio base stations (BTS) of a radio communication network (PLMN) and mobile stations (MS) to allow subscribers access to the radio communication network via a radio interface (AIF). According to the method provided for in the invention, the service area (LSA) is described by geographical parameters (GP-LSA) and an area (DA) defined for the radio base stations (BTS) is also described by means of geographical parameters (GP-DA). Next, for an outgoing connection on the mobile station side and/or an incoming connection on the network side the geographical parameters (GP-LSA) for the service area are compared with the geographical parameters (GP-DA) of the defined area (DA). If the geographical parameters match at least in part, the outgoing connection and/or incoming connection is established in a cell of the service area. The invention avoids both long lists of cell identification codes which have to be stored in the mobile stations and prevents the problem of having to send many identification codes of the service area by downlink radio-broadcast via the radio interface.
