The invention relates to a method for establishing connections between radio base stations (BTS) of a radio communication network (PLMN) and mobile stations (MS) to allow subscribers access to the radio communication network via a radio interface (AIF). The invention avoids both long lists of cell identification codes which have to be stored in the mobile stations and prevents the problem of having to send many identification codes of the service area by downlink radio-broadcast via the radio interface.
