Material Loading Fault Prevention Method in a Surface Mounting Technology Equipment

PURPOSE: A method for preventing installation errors of an automatic electronic component installation device using a barcode system is provided to prevent installation errors by receiving installation information for the models that are operating on a management computer's automatic electronic component installation device through communication network, reading and confirming appropriate informations through a barcode scanner's scanning of a material cassette's barcode information and to create a material installation information, convert it into database form, and transmit the information when the barcode scanner requests for information. CONSTITUTION: An automatic electronic component installation device(1) possesses a magazine(2) that attaches an arranged materials cassette(3). When the materials cassette is installed on the magazine, a barcode scanner reads the materials cassette information, downloads the magazine installation information that is classified by components, product models, and material cassettes in a management computer(5), and confirms the information through comparison. The barcode system receives the applied equipments, production models, and magazine setting locations from the barcode information, or it registers the information in the barcode system's program and uses the information. When the materials cassette is installed on the magazine, the cassette information is read, automatically compared, and processed.
