AUTOMATIC BALANCING APPARATUS FOR GRINDING WHEELS

PURPOSE: A device is provided to not waste time for compensating balance while not requiring additional equipment for compensating balance. CONSTITUTION: Grindstone flanges(102,104) hold grinding grindstone. A ring-shaped weight groove(110) is formed at one side of the flange. A cover(116) coverts the weight groove. The weight groove contains weight balls(112) and oil(114). Herein, a sealing(118) is supplied between the cover and the flange. By rotation of a balance device(100) combined to the grindstone, the weight balls are arranged in the weight groove. By rotation at low speed, the balls are convergent toward eccentric direction while maintaining an angle from extended line of rotation/weight centers. Therefore, rotary vibration is increased. By rotation at high speed, the balls are convergent at opposite direction from the eccentric direction. Thus, rotary vibration is eliminated.
