Of vascular endothelial growth factor -B (VEGF-B) and endothelial growth factors, -C (VEGF-C) in blood vessel angiogenesis is a polypeptide. It is named VEGF-B and -C, particularly in combination with bFGF angiogenic property in vitro has been known. VEGF-C also increases the plasminogen activator (PA) activity in a bovine endothelial cell line and this is accompanied by a simultaneous increase in the PA inhibitor-1. The addition of the alpha-2-anti-plasmin by bFGF and bovine endothelial cells co-treated with a VEGF-C thereby partially inhibit collagen invasion.
