PURPOSE: A rush current limiting device for LCD module and rush current limiting method thereof reduce A rush current generated during the initial power-on of an LCD module with a more simple circuit structure, thereby providing the voltage of the LCD module safely. CONSTITUTION: A rush current reducing element(30) reduces a rush current to be inputted while an initial voltage is applied to a TFT-LCD module during the reset time of a reset circuit(120) for controlling the operation of a timing controller(130). A control part(140) controls the voltage loading operation of a voltage loading part(110). When the reset circuit(120) is normally reset by the voltage high than a determined level after the reducing of the rush current, the timing controller(130) is normally operated and a switch(10) connected to a fuse(20) is turned-on in response to the reset voltage generated from the reset circuit(120). Therefore, the input voltage doesn't pass through the rush current reducing element(30) but is applied to the timing controller(130) through the fuse(20).
