PURPOSE: The nucleotide and amino acid sequences of the movement protein of kyuri green mottle mosaic virus(KGMMV) are provided, thereby rapidly analyzing the KGMMV gene and preventing the breeding and extermination of KGMMV. CONSTITUTION: The kyuri green mottle mosaic virus(KGMMV) is isolated from cucumbers and gourds and belongs to Tobamovirus genus. The nucleotide and amino acid sequences of the movement protein of KGMMV are determined by amplifying the 789 bp movement protein gene of KGMMV by RT-PCR using KGMMV genomic RNA as a template, cloning the amplified gene into pGEM-T-Easy vector, determining the nucleotide sequence of the movement protein of KGMMV by automatic DNA sequencing method using the recombinant vector above, and determining the amino acid sequence of the movement protein of KGMMV on the basis of its nucleotide sequence. The movement protein of KGMMV has 262 amino acids and 28,256.4 dalton of molecular weight.
