PURPOSE: A panorama picture photographing method of a digital still camera is provided to easily connect pictures to construct a panorama picture by using an LCD monitor. CONSTITUTION: It is judged whether a panorama picture photographing mode is set or not. When the panorama picture photographing mode is set, whenever an image is photographed, predetermined left and right portions of the image photographed right before the image currently being photographed are read into a reproducing region set in a DRAM. The read images are displayed at the left and right of the image currently being photographed. When one of the images displayed at the left and right of the image accords with one of the left and right portions of the image currently being photographed, the current image is captured and stored in a flash memory.
