FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of culturing transplanting vegetable tissue cultures and can be used in medicinal industry. Sterile explants of duckweed Lemna minor L. are placed in agarized modified nutrient medium containing macrosalts and trace element salts by Murasige-Skoog method and mixture of the following vitamins: folic acid, riboflavin, biotin, pantothenate calcium, pyridoxine, thiamine chloride, nicotineamide, cobalamine and phytohormones: 6-benzylamino-purine and 2,4-D and also sucrose and agar- agar followed by incubation at 26 ± 1 C in dark. Optimized nutrient medium provides to obtain callus tissue of an aqueous plant Lemna minor L. (class of Monocotyledones) with sufficient frequency of callusgenesis.
