An extract (I) from non-fermented Camellia sinensis L., or its composition, is used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic or food supplement preparations, to inhibit or reduce necrosis and/or atrophy in tissue and/or premature death of vascularised and non-vascularised cells and cell layers, to promote cell adhesion between like tissue and to inhibit adhesion between cells of different tissue types.
