Tubular prods. are passed through an annealing furnace by rolling on a transport device (24) towards the exit door which is an air curtain (32). Just prior to the air curtain is a tilting edge (27) which starts the downwardly inclined exit section (28). This edge is made up of a sharply inclined starting angle (14) which runs into a shallower angle (36).
