In a first operating state, the cold water via the condenser part (19) is fed back in a cooling circuit to the cooling plant (10) and the cold water to be fed to the operating points is conveyed in the cold water circuit via the evaporator part (23). In an alternative operating state, the cold water coming from the cooling plant with the cold machine being switched off is fed via a by-pass (30) connecting the cooling circuit with the cold water circuit directly to the operating points. The cold water is then fed back from the operating points into the cooling circuit. In a further alternative operating state, the cold water coming from the cooling plant is conducted via the evaporator part into the cold water circuit and then to the operating points, from which via the condenser part it is fed to the cooling plant.
